About Links That Move
Links That Move is the link building operation of Rotate Digital, a digital marketing agency for local service businesses. We built it to earn editorial backlinks for our own clients first, and we opened it to other agencies once it was producing results we could measure. Orders are placed and tracked per link through a client portal, with no retainer.
Who runs it?
Travis Cole is Chief Operating Officer at Rotate Digital and leads Links That Move. He set the publisher standard every placement is measured against and answers the questions agency owners ask most before they order, from quality standards to what proof to expect. Every article on this site that carries his name reflects that operating experience rather than a content brief.
What standard do we hold publishers to?
Four layers, in order of how much they matter. A domain rating above 30 is the floor, and only the floor, because the metric is easy to manipulate. More than 5,000 monthly organic visits from the United States shows Google is actively rewarding the site for US queries, with rare exceptions for strong local or niche relevance. A vetted backlink profile shows the publisher invests in its own authority, so the value it passes will still be there at the next algorithm update. And a track record of many ranking pages, rather than a homepage-heavy domain, is what gives our article a real chance to rank itself. About half of the links we placed in our most recent monthly sample went on to rank for a keyword of their own.
How does the work get done?
You submit the target page, primary and secondary keywords, and anchor preference in the portal. We match the order to publishers already under contract in the relevant vertical, write an article that answers a real question, secure publication, and verify the link is live and indexed. Completed orders average 28 days from order to live placement, with most landing between day 22 and day 30. Our placement data study shows what more than 650 completed orders look like in aggregate, and our Playbook covers how to buy, compare, and order links.
Who is it for?
Agencies that resell link building to their clients and want reliable fulfilment they can deliver under their own brand, and in-house SEO teams at multi-location service businesses. The publisher network was built for home services first, with home improvement, real estate, local, travel, legal, health, and general-interest publications alongside, and new publishers are added every month.
How is the site funded?
By the placements agencies order. Links That Move does not carry advertising or affiliate links. Contact details are in the footer of every page.
